I guess hugs are in order :3

And so, this is as close as we can get to the chaos zone… pretty impressive…

…there is a ship wreck in this area… we could get closer in a smaller ship, but it will be dangerous…

Then send something unmanned, if possible.

There is nothing in this ship that can be remote controlled that far, there could be something useful in there… but I don’t wanna risk anyone…

What do you think the odds are of having the robots gun down the smaller debris while we send a small ship in there?

This is the effective range of our laser defense system…. Not only we would have to be very close, if a bigger asteroid gets in the way we wont be able to evade it…
>>
No. 36249 ID: 789c25

Looks like we're going to have to risk someone. Send a robotic escort to protect from a1s, and have the debris towed back out of danger before a thorough search for usable components. If we're lucky there will be salvageable weaponry and/or shielding. At the very least, that wreck can be reduced to its base components and used in the construction of something else.

loot the shitwreck.
>>
No. 36257 ID: 007a2e

I personally wouldn't risk it then, on the downside, we may be missing out on loot and the loss of a few slaves probably wouldn't be too bad. On the upside, we may not lose valuable resources and come out empty handed and down a few people.
>>
No. 36261 ID: 987386

Do something to make yourselves even less suspicious. Report it to that ship back there and move on.
>>
No. 36263 ID: 789c25

>>36257
If we get unlucky, we can always end a second team in to grab the ship and the first team. We want to minimize loss of life, but even if there is some loss of life, we can keep going.

>>36261
Interacting with them more than necessary is not a good thing. We got by them just fine before, no point in creating a second encounter, especially when the only gain there is getting out of that encounter.
>>
No. 36272 ID: 007a2e

>>36263

The scenario you presented would be potentially the second from worst and considering the pinball effect of the flying asteroids, kinda unlikely, I was more thinking 'loss' as 'small ship and crew get pulverised by high velocity asteroids'.

Plus, I'm not sure it's a good idea to make Jen even more unhappy by having to report recently freed slave deaths, but I'm repeating myself, a risk is a risk and we may gain something valuable out of it.
>>
No. 36283 ID: ed8d8a

well is there any particular reason you cannot put some defensive screening robots on the hull of the smaller ship? possibly even modify a few to be smaller legless turrets for this exact purpose.

If we are gonna do it, then, this modified cargo ship should suffice, we added a extra impulsor, and we will carry four lasermechs outside, the cargo space is another four powersuits…

Don’t worry, I wont have to report the dead of anyone, I’m piloting this ship, there is no one that knows how to do it as good as me…

Now, who shall come with me? There is space for 3 more people~

Lets first communicate the finding to the military vessel in an entirely lawful and normal manner.

Then, we wait to see if they rescue them.
>>
No. 36320 ID: 789c25

>>36307
No. The Military is in no way involved, and we'd like to keep it like that. Keep in mind that we are both slaves and pirates.

>>36272
I never said I want people dying. In fact, I planned to minimize that chance to the best of my ability. I just pointed out that if people do die, that doesn't mean that we should necessarily abort the mission.

>>36291
Give the original group the right of first refusal. Ask them first. If they don't want to come, ask for volunteers elsewhere. We don't really know anyone else, so we can't really help you if they don't want to come.

Also, looking at that thing, I notice that the engines are primarily pointed backwards. I don't know how maneuverability is on that thing, but if possible, get yourself turned around, approaching the wreck aft first, so if something is coming that you can't handle you can GTFO quickly.

Fortunately, the military ship was left behind a long time ago, I should have pointed that out…

Yeah, the main ship thrust is backwards, but it have full frontal and axial impulsors, its not as maneuverable as a combat fighter, but I think it will do…

Yes, this should be a mission with volunteers only:

“This is gonna be dangerous, who is with me?”

Assure them that you just don't like putting them in danger. They're your oldest friends, after all!
But also the most experienced. And the only volunteers. If they want to come, we can't really stop them.
Just ask them to be careful! We worry, y'know.

The group is ready and we go to change clothes for space survival…

I don’t think spores can be fused into anything, and it doesn’t matter, for now, we gotta concentrate in retrieving the most stuff we can…

I hope this goes well…
