Is that for us or our squad? Do we have to make sure we get equipment for Lefty and Shelly or do they got their own stipends to spend.

Well you did say you all needed some down time so you could give her brother a a "get well soon" present if you catch my drift, provided that's not to stressful, and after you can all go to the merc shop together.

You need friends and and allies. Also those that keep you nice and warm.

We need to know what the strategic and tactical balance is, with Bradshaw's betrayal, so we can prepare for things, or at least get people better organized and more intelligent than ourself to do so.

Muse on how Bradshaw's failure to die means he will cease to be imprisoned, if he isn't already free. Consider making a betting pool for his next appearance or influence.

>Ask Vi if she knows where to find a good bargain or a rare item shop.
>Sympathize with Vi.
Jackie: i hope Jenga is ok. tell him i said "hi".
Vi: it's nothing serious, a big boy like him can just walk it off.
Jackie: say Vi. are you happen to know where can i find a good bargain or a rare item shop?
Vi: anything you need you can find at the merc-shop. i never heard of other weapon and tech shops on the base. GnR have pretty much exclusive rights to sell their wares here.

[Jackie currently possess 50200 units.]
>Is that for us or our squad
-it's Jackie's presonal funds. other team members manage their respective gear loadout and funds.

>Introduce your squad to Vi.

-Jackie introduces her squad members to Vi.
Lefty: nice to meet you Vi. i heard good things about you from commander. i'm lefty.
Vi: i can see that.

Shelly: don't get all chummy with them aliens commander.
bonds with Shelly got weaker.

-Kaz present's Jackie new and imporved Proto-Cannon. using original shematics as a base he improved it. now it heats-up much slower but because of that it's got much heavier and bulky. he will be waiting for the next report on it's preformance.
Kaz: and please don't blow it up this time.

Send Shelly to the Mercenary Shops while you purchase rations and a Mask Tool (gas mask, multi-spectrum vision and flashlight, basic IFF targeting and tagging, and anti-perspiration lenses). Keep in contact with Shelly in case she screws up, and go to the store yourself to finalize the purchases.

But... she's a canid! Shelly how can you not like dogs. Dogs!

Has Kaz considered making a dedicated explosives variant from the proto-cannon's tech? It'd spare his darling next time we need to blow a base sky-high.

okay, buy one blue, it will be our umbrella. keeping it but never needing to use it will be just fine with me. but if we ever need it we will be glad to have it.

anything that lets you upgrade grav boots? being able to, for a limited time even, have the boots decide gravity is straight up through open air can be really good tactically. can also give you serious boost to kicking power if you turn them on while falling.
>>
No. 690436 ID: ebc808

What are the options for heavy weapons? I mean, obviously Conqueress's main gun is going to be better than anything you can sling on your back, but with some kind of MANPAD missile launcher, you could've credibly threatened to shoot down a dropship, which would then have changed the whole dynamic of the fight with Frankie. Probably come in handy for taking out elite squid troopers on stealth missions, too.

on that note, a place-able explosive charge would be good, so we can blow up a gate without losing our gun next time.
>>
No. 690442 ID: ad936f

What are our options in regards to cyberware weapons? The single shot thingy might be useful, but let's see our other options first. I originally suggested implants because they provide an additional sneak attack option and are difficult to remove, should we be captured. We shouldn't bother with anything that would replace our precious muscles however, because that could mess with our ability to kill robots in ONE PUNCH. I'm thinking maybe a tiny laser weapon hidden somewhere inconspicuous on our body. Maybe we can mount weapons in our boobs?

well if we're going the way of sword and gun jet boots would be really handy but we should probably upgrade our defense a little.

other then that some boom dough since it has been proven that we can never have to many explosions. Speaking of which I also feel like we should get the impact resistance coat upgrade since explosions seem to have been our biggest problem. Also what the fuck does duct tape upgrade even do?

>>
No. 690498 ID: fbc59e

2xBoom Dough
All the coat upgrades, including duct tape.

I suppose the question is energy shield versus light shield?
I feel like the option of a light shield might be useful...But then again an energy shield might not require one of your hands to use unlike the light shield, and give you've already got the sword/gun style...
Second, backup gun might not be a bad idea, in case closing to melee isn't an option (and I suspect blocking bullets with that sword is not a novice-level perk).
As for which gun...
Proton Caster should nicely compliment the strengths and weaknesses of the proto-blaster we got from Kaz.

>Investigate the bar fight.
-tall one appears to be a member of BSU. questioning in rather heated manner a couple of RnG employees. on a subject of rouge clone who used to work with them...
[Frankie.]

*crash*
-one of the RnG workers comes flying into the bar counter.
[yeah... looks like thing getting a bit out of hand.]

A) step in
B) keep observing

Watch, maybe ask that guy that just got tossed over to your table what's going on.
I'm guessing the guys from where Frankie worked are getting hassled because yanno, Frankie turned traitor, but let's hear the actual story first.

ask what he wants to know about the clone. I mean we don't know much other then she's a bitch with a massive ego who was part of the attack, damn near blew us to hell when tried to shoot her after she kidnapped our friend, and is a massive cock sucking bitch. That last part is important.

Step in, we are feeling like shit, but not all mediation needs to end in violence. Besides this dude might be helpful if we are going in the same direction.

Seems heated though, be wary of our face, let him know to keep his head screwed on straight.

Jackie: hey! that's enough!
-Jackie approaches BSU officer.
Jackie: what the hell is going on officer?
???: commander Jaxx?! nothing, just a routine questioning. this two individuals are suspected to have a connection with escaped rouge ditto.
Jackie: whats your name officer?
Ace: Ace... senior officer Ace Piper... sir.
Jackie: so... Ace. got anything useful out of this two?
Ace: nothing worth noting sir. but i may dig up something eventually.
RnG employee: i told you everything! she just came one day looking for a job. she didn't much talk with anybody. i don't anything about her!
Ace: so can i proceed with interrogation commander?
RnG employee: please i don't know anything!

Breaking his face isn't likely to make him talk more. More pointed questions would show whether he knows nothing, or he's hiding something.

>she just came one day looking for a job
Where did she hear about you guys/the job from(since they normally ask that sort of thing), what type of job/s(what does RnG even stand for), how did she get paid(to an account, by hand, ect), who was her boss/in charge of her, what type of gear did she have/use(could point us to where she was setting up base), she a good coworker or a terrible one, was there anyone you worked with that avoided her or seemed afraid of her?

Ask similar or enough questions and you can tell when they slip up. One you've got a good grip on their story, you can pull the rug out from under them.

Don't threaten his face, officer, he needs that to fess up. Instead, threaten his livelihood. Why, this place could be closed for who knows how long if an investigation of a possible crime scene was needed... And I doubt anyone would hire him if he was a known accomplice to treason. I think it's best if he clears his name now, before all the ugly paperwork gets smeared all over it.

You know every answer you get out of him will just be what you WANT to hear, right officer? You have no methods to confirm anything that comes out of his mouth.

On the one hand I think that in general it's better to let professionals do their jobs, on the other hand we're basically the only competent person on this entire base. Stop the interrogation, she's probably screwing it up.

>she just came one day looking for a job
Did she provide anything to net that job? References, job history, resume, emergency contacts? Legitimate businesses are usually required to hold onto that kind of paperwork. (I mean, it's probably fake, but it's a start).

Try using spunk and friendliness to question them. We're supposed to be good at social stuff, and we can keep them from getting their faces pounded in.

How well do you know Frankie, Jackie? When was the last time you'd seen her before her ass showed up on base? The rooftop dialog suggested she knew you when you were younger.

>Breaking his face isn't likely to make him talk more. More pointed questions would show whether he knows nothing, or he's hiding something.
Jackie: officer Ace... may i just take it from here?
-Ace lowers her fist.
Ace: sure thing commander.

>Where did she hear about you guys/the job from
GnR employee: she got it from extranet page of our company. we had a vacancy open up and she took it.

>what type of job/s(what does RnG even stand for)
[GnR stands for Guns n' Roses mercenary guild, they act as third party between mercenaries and people who hire them. They also govern a number of so called "side establishments" like bars, stripclubs and casinos to name a few.]
GnR employee: she worked half shift behind the bar and half on the pole... she was really good at both.

>why was she hired/accepted for the job?
GnR employee: she could work the pole and the bar. there was no reason not to take her.

>Did she provide anything to net that job? References, job history, resume, emergency contacts?
GnR employee: what? she is ditto. of course she was a souldier before. she didn't have anything exept her birth number. FR-80085

>who interviewed/hired her
GnR employee: it was a previous head manager. i was just a senior assistant back then.

>how did she get paid?
GnR employee: as usuall. units where transfered to her personal account.

>who was her boss/in charge of her.
GnR employee: ehm... it... it was me. BUT I KNOW NOTHING! S-SHE NEVER SEEMED STRANGE OR DO SOMETHING SUSPICIOUS. im telling the truth.

>what type of gear did she have/use?
GnR employee: gear? i never saw her in anything expet to two piece bikini or her civil getup.

>she a good coworker or a terrible one?
GnR employee: if you'd ask me this a week ago i would have only good things to tell...

>was there anyone you worked with that avoided her or seemed afraid of her?
GnR employee: i can't remember anyone like that.

>How well do you know Frankie, Jackie?
[i know her mostly by the time she was working in this bar.]
>When was the last time you'd seen her before her ass showed up on base?
[i think i saw her once or twice at the war academy. hard to tell we all look the same and didn't exactly have names back then. just numbers. mine was JK-80008.]
>>

OK, we're going to need all records of her from your records and any of her belongings she left behind that the company is holding. Also, we'd like to speak to the one who hired her.

Also, FR-80085. Boobs? Really, the number, I don't know, seems a bit odd to me, maybe even fake.
-This is to put pressure on our witness here. Maybe he'll remember something.

Also, after the interrogation, get Ace to check the FN number just in case.

>OK, we're going to need all records of her from your records and any of her belongings she left behind that the company is holding.

GnR employee: I assure you we don't anything of sort. All we had is location of her living quarters. But so does BSU.

Ace: Yep we already swept the place. Nothing helpful.

>Also, we'd like to speak to the one who hired her.

GnR employee: mr.Caesar left the company years ago we don't have any information regarding his whereabouts, as far as i know old man can be long dead by now. he was 85 when he left.

>Also, FR-80085. Boobs? Really, the number, I don't know, seems a bit odd to me, maybe even fake.

GnR employee: that number checked out with base records. we had no reason to belive it's fake.

>Also, after the interrogation, get Ace to check the FN number just in case.

Jackie: Ace could you double check just in case.

Ace: ...ok

>What about the day where she split? What did she do here then?

GnR employee: she never showed up for her shift that day... and the day before that.

[nope. head commander of the base is in charge of that. so i guess it would be commander Bishop right now.]

Ace: i guess that's it commander. thanks for the assist. i will report to chief Dallas now.

-Ace walks out of the bar. RnG employee sighed in relief. training brace makes it self known with sudden surge of pain.

[ow. ow. moving too much... hurts... jeez]
[all this talking about Frankie sure brings back memories. FR-80085... i wonder where are they all now. bunch from the 80th "century"... 012, 066, Baker, 033 and... her.]
