>Long ago, when /quests/ was still young, young adults played a game of great and terrible power. But these 'shadow quests' erupted into a war that threatened to destroy the entire internets, until a brave and powerful cutebold locked the magic away, imprisoning it within the mystical Infinite Pysche Items. Now, 1 year later, a girl named Karen unlocks the secret of the Orb of Infinite Psyche. She is infused with ancient magical energies, for destiny has chosen her to defend the world from the return of the shadow quests, just as the brave cutebold did, 1 year ago.

"Don't you dare threaten to take my cards again punk."

pick him up by his hair.
say that he's a sad boy to be beating up another person over a card.
Ask if he wants to hangout some time for being just as pathetic as you

>>113982
Well technically, we just kicked him in the nuts because he threatened to mug us.
That's not so much pathetic as it is self-defense, albeit preemptive self-defense, but he threatened to beat you up.
In a public place.
In broad daylight.
With several witnesses present.
>>
No. 113984 ID: 8dc9d5

Actually, I'm going to say don't take his cards.
Pick him up, and offer the right to challenge you for ownership of the card.
If you win, you get to pick one of his cards and keep it.
If he wins, he gets the Silver Key.

>>113984
... heh... prizes...
Don't forget he's been around much longer, so he'll have an epic deck. We'll die in around 5 turns.

And I meant that he's pathetic. We're pathetic for going nuts over a starter deck.
>>
No. 114007 ID: 8dc9d5

>>114002
Hmm, good point about him having an epic deck.
I will apologize for misunderstanding you on the nature of our own patheticness.
Some points of interest about playing him for the ownership of the card?
Karen has the Orb, and therefore guidance from an at least half-way competent source with an objective view.
This is blatantly based on YGO, as such Karen has the mystical "Heart of the Cards" (Known in some parts of Canada, Spain, and Uzbekistan as "Cheating")
Finally, how many people are entirely right-minded after getting kicked in the nuts? This guy is gonna be pissed, and injured. People make mistakes when pissed and injured.

"all right then! I challenge you to a card match, if I win I get your rarest card!"

"Accepted! And if I win I get the silver key and one more thing... You become my maid!"

"Fine by me!"

"This card match will take place atop my building, I'm sure you know where that is. Until then.."

-He leaves. Or rather limps out the door as Karen's attack has left him stunned-

>okay, I have a card match waiting for me. Is there anything I should do to my deck before it begins? Remember there's a twenty card limit.
>>

Yes.

DON'T SHOW UP.

He will get burned so hard when he asks you about it later and you tell him you were kidding, and are amazed he actually took you seriously.

Wait a minute, you took out Jay's Drakness (sic) but you left in EmoBird? That doesn't make any sense, EmoBird is useless without Jay's Drakness, especially since Healing Chamber can be used for something more useful. Let's take out two of the Ace limbs cards and put Jay's Drakness and Tres's Gaze in. I doubt we'll be able to win by using that gimmick anyway.

Are you crazy?
We have the "heart of the cards"
Were almost garunteed to get ace.
Dropping the key to pull in jays darkness is a better bet
(key is a bad card. You draw it, and replace it with another card upon play. If it drew 2cards, it'd have a use
>>
No. 114652 ID: 8dc9d5

>>114651
Nah, man.
Key is search your deck for a card.
It's WAY useful early game.
I will agree with you about Ace, though.
Man, this is tough. Heart of the Cards, or good ol' tactics?

>>114652
Good old tactics is never wrong. Luck favors the prepared after all. Just about now I almost wish that I actually paid attention to any of these weird cardgames, but I never did.

So I still think we should have solved this situation with the threat of more violence. We could have made him out bitch and taken all of his cards. We should bring knife with us to the match. That way we can still take his cards even if we lose.

That doesn't seem like good storytelling to me. Giving the players an insta-win and making sure they get it on the first fight? Does that sound like good storytelling to you? It might happen, but it wouldn't be a good tutorial level...

>>114651
Well, it also says nothing about shuffling the deck after, which I assume is an oversight.
Wait, I can't even tell if it's a search or just a draw.
If the first, then it's like an Ace Piece coupon.
If the second, then the deck is technically smaller, which is also good.
>>
No. 114693 ID: e9a4f7

>>114688
To clarify Silver key is a deck searcher.
>>
No. 114696 ID: 8dc9d5

>>114688
It's only like an Ace piece coupon if we use it to get an Ace piece.
It's only worth using for Ace if we already have a few Ace pieces, otherwise it'd be better to us it for either the Left Hook (Left Hook Ruby is summoned from ANYWHERE and is hella powerful), or Tom 'n' Ruby Go! (Most powerful monster we have).
It would also be useful to get Healing Chamber (Use Red twice, and he's down to 500 points).
And if it doesn't let us search the deck (unlikely since it's a super-rare, they tend to be awesome), than it still improves our odds of getting a card we need (if we get Silver Key in our starting hand, and we need a card, we can use Silver Key and the chance of getting the card would be 1/15, then on our next turn, the chance of drawing the card normally would be 1/14. An overall improvement in speed).
Another decision to make is; if we don't have Jay's Drakness, than what do we swap in to replace emobird? Button Button (a bit too chancy for my liking.)? Or Tres' Gaze (not very powerful, admittedly)? Or do we keep Emobird, and swap something out for Jay's Drakness (a dedicated defender could be very useful, but it requires having Jay's Drakness beforehand.)
Personally, I'll put my weight behind swapping Emobird for Tres' Gaze.

>Man you guys seem to be having some trouble.

>Here. I was supposed to save this but I suppose I can buy another pack. WOAH! Awesome cards!

-Karen got-

1 Healing Chamber
1 Orb of Infinite Psyche (Equip to one of your opponents monsters. Take control of it for 1 turn. It cannot attack nor can it be sacrificed for the effect of a card.)
1 Metal Glen (This card takes the place of one of your five monster zones permenantly. It cannot be sacrificed nor can it attack or be attacked. This card can only be removed from the feild by a card effect. All Ruby Quest characters gain 100 ATK and DEF)
1 Sevi Teleport! (Activate from the feild only when a monster on your side of the feild is selected as a attack target. Remove the targeted monster from play. It is returned during the start of the next players turn)
1 Greed (Pay half your health points to draw two cards)

Well, if we wanna use Good ol' Tactics, than we should drop the Ace pieces for now, and put in all the cards we got in the second booster pack except Greed, and put Button Button back in.
