Id represents your drives and desires and is used to alter the world via the powers you have. Ego is your defense against any… hostile elements you would encounter. You might be wondering why it is divided among two numbers… well we’ll get to that when we need to.>

Of course you could always stay here with me… Just kidding, see that shard I've dropped? That’s a fragment of your past that I've found lying around, if you touch it you’ll see some things from your life and maybe have a change of scenery. You suddenly appear in an UNKNOWN ROOM. Inside it seems to be some sort of living space. On the table are SOME PAPERS written in an unusual language. There is a LARGE BOOKSHELF with a number of volumes with unknown subjects. Standing beside a DOOR is a SIMPLE STAFF. What do you do now?

As you take the paper from the table, the symbols on the text flash into your memory. You have regained the most basic of spells MAGIC MISSILE at SKILL-1!

browse the books for anything that stands out. Looking through the books, replacing each back when you're finished stirs the memory of the ABILITY SPELL THEORY at the POOR level!

The BOOKCASE is bolted to the WALL. There are no secrets there so you leave out the door and into a hall. A strange creature is floating there. It’s pitch black with white lips, plaque covered teeth and a rather discolored tongue.

<Oh dear it’s a Scandalous Gossiper.> It appears that your… companion has appeared here and he seems to be green for some reason this time. <Enjoying your trek down memory lanes? Heh you always said that the Magic Academy was some of the worst days of your life… It appears that it is spoiling for a fight. Feel up to some combat or would you run away? Even though these are your memories, it doesn’t always make sense, then again your choice.>

The scandalous gossiper could be a reflection of someone we didn't like distorted by our lack of memory who they were. I suspect this is rather likely actually.

Examine what's left and tell us what else is in this hallway.
Further down the HALL you see perhaps a LARGE STAIRCASE that leads downwards. Then again behind you are some MORE ROOMS. They appear to be other dorm rooms; however unlike the door that bears your name, the names on those doors from this distance appears indistinct. On the floor are some PLAQUED TEETH.

Oh man... it sucks to have nothing to disprove my hypothesis. We should've maybe tried listening to the scandalous gossiper in case it said anything we recognized.
You seem to have spent an awful long time in your room in the past judging by how well you remember it versus how well you don't remember any of the names in this hall. I'd suggest returning to your room and trying to remember what else you used to do there and see if that triggers more memories about this place and the other people in it.

You go back in your ROOM and you are assaulted by the smell of blood and soot. On the WALLS is the blood in question and it is a disconcerting fresh red. Yet what's odd is that there is soot covering up the blood. The TABLE and BOOKSHELF that was here before has vanished? Just what is happening?
>>
No. 478067 ID: 54c7e5

I'd say, due to the soot, some kind of fire that burned the wood and paper. The black stuff coming from the other side of the door probably implies that the school is on fire, or that someone is trying to get in. The blood in here also implies that someone was in here before the fire, maybe killed in a magical explosion of some sort? If that were the case, it was probably an experiment gone wrong with some sort of randomly assigned lab partner, since they don't appear. From the looks of it, their death, or at least the remains, left quite an impression on your subconscious, likely because you've never before this moment seen someone dead.

All of this is pure conjecture, of course.

A very good theory, it explains a lot of what you are seeing, yet in truth it is still just a theory as you have no proof. There is more smoke coming into the room which worries you. What should you do now?

You go to open the door and go back into the HALL.
>>478290 Don't open the door with all the smoke coming out. That'd be a bad idea.
Wait the smoke could be a hazard you think as you are opening the door. It was too late to stop yourself yet there is no fire outside. When you look again the smoke has vanished.
>>478284Oh and lets proceed down those stairs if nothing is different outside your room.
Well you see that the stairs down are further down the hall. However there are now blood streaks everywhere. The pile of PLAQUED TEETH still remains on the floor. The air feels hotter but still breathable. What makes you uneasy is that there are screams in the air. Should you still continue to take the stairs if there's nothing else here?

Take the teeth, get gone.
>>
No. 478338 ID: 54c7e5

The point of this exercise is to recover your lost memories; it really depends on what you did the first time. If you had left immediately when the fire started, then you will be able to recover more of yourself if you take the stairs. If you had stayed to help screaming people or something, your memories will be unlocked if you look around.

What you should do really depends on what kind of person you were before losing all of your memory. It bears mentioning that since this is a MEMORY, you should not be able to be hurt while inside of it, seeing as how you were/will be alive in the future; that should you leave you Will likely find memory, since you would have to do that eventually regardless of the path you took; and that should you leave the nature of memory would likely keep you from returning to this moment in time.

Defs take the teeth though, you can never have enough bling.

Defs take the teeth though, you can never have enough bling.
You pick up the rather dirty teeth, still it’s the spoils of victory. You have gained 10 PLAQUED TEETH, they seem to be throwable and with the diseased growths on them it’s likely they’ll cause infections in wounds.
The STAIRCASE is rather eerie as you walk downwards towards the BOTTOM FLOOR. Below you can see the haze of fires yet shades of people walking do not panic. Across on the OPPOSITE STAIRCASE you can see a CORPSE overhanging the railing. Yet still no panic is directed towards it. Where will you go? Downwards to the BOTTOM or ACROSS to the OPPOSITE STAIRCASE.
