An excellent decision. Enhanced manipulation it is. Camouflaged, of course. The expected resistance is unknown. Primarily mechanical, but the xenoforms are impossible to predict. Also, this drone is to be a solitary infiltrator. There will be some limited support from a secondary team, in order to get into position and also for extraction. The technology going into this drone is too valuable to treat this drone as expendable. Moving swiftly along. Locomotion is locked. Heavy limbs are unsuitable for the nature of the mission. Light limbs are too fragile. Standard limbs are lacking but easily modified. Consider the following modified standard limbs. Kinematic accelerator limbs allow for the speed and manueverability of light limbs with the resilience and stability of standard limbs. They also allow for increased leaping height and distance, if this is ever relevant. It is entirely possible to move far faster than any drone with overcharged use of the accelerators, but prolonged use at maximum capacity will wear them out and lead to permanent loss of all agility benefits. The legs will at least still work. Polymorphic reinforced limbs are both sturdy and, with time, self-repairing, thanks to advances in polymorphic alloys. Consider that this is an enhancement and not capable of full shape changing. We trialled full polymorphic alloy limbs and they, well, let's move on. This also doesn't protect against severe damage. If a limb is gone, a replacement will need to be installed. Polymorphic bladed limbs use a similar polymorphic alloy technology, but instead allow the limbs to become effective bladed weapons, or, in extremes, to explode violently and launch shrapnel. It is worth noting that the detonation is intended to be combined with the detachability of drone limbs and would be preferrably not used while attached to the drone. Rapid injector limbs continue the theme of hidden weapons, except these fire tiny flechettes designed to deliver a chemical payload to the target. Network Prime's machines mostly all have a circulatory coolant system making chemical payloads a worthwhile attack vector, but no compounds have been discovered with lethal effects against anything but drones. The chemical reservoirs can be accessed while the limbs are detached. Chemical expertise knowledge pack is recommended for use with this augmentation. Mixing and matching limbs has not been tested and is therefore not permitted for this design. Choose: - Kinematic accelerators - Polymorphic reinforced - Polymorphic bladed - Rapid injector

Kinematic limbs.

Do prosthesis and augments get a choice of unnecessary-yet-stylish color scheme or decorum choices?

Gotta go with the bladed limbs. Just be careful scratching your nose.

The bladed and injection augmentations seem to have the greatest synergy with the helmet manipulation. The abilities could be used to aid the aim and efeciacy of projectile or melee weapons.

As the blades are only projectile weapons if detached and detonated, let's go with the chemical package. Free floating chemistry without glassware, and homing projectile needles that evade and take corners.

...I hope this drone will have the lead time to practice competence with manipulation. Is there an expertise package for this technology yet, or is it too new?

I think the choice is down to either the kinematic accelerators or the polymorphic bladed limbs. Both running away and close quarters combat sound like likely issues we'll run into fairly often. I'll vote for the bladed limbs, I think.

Kinematic accelerators selected. On request, we can review the design and modify it after all choices are clear. I am not trying to trick you into a substandard design for testing purposes, after all. The standard colour theme for all of my drones is black and red for reasons I have long since forgotten but am compelled to adhere to. If you have any specific style requests that remain in these parameters, I will keep them in mind. Next, two internal augmentations and two external augmentation. Advances in miniaturisation have made this possible. Internal augmentations: Emotion control. Allows the regulation and inducing of emotions in the drone. Slowly being phased out due to long term side effects in earlier models showing evidence of drone apathy and lack of motivation. Regenerative nanomachines. Allows the drone to ingest metal to repair their systems, in addition to using regular body supplies to repair their biological systems. Remote sequencer. Allows for remote sabotage of systems with unpredictable effects. These effects are typically far from subtle. Range maximum is currently unknown, but a clear line of sight is needed for transmission. Heat transferal system. Allows for the storage and release of heat (and lack thereof) from external sources to other targets. This system is reactive and bypasses drone nervous systems, making the drone theoretically immune to the effects of sudden, non-localised temperature changes. The physics involved are ridiculous and it is strongly advised that this system is removed immediately if it is even slightly damaged to avoid immediate flash freezing or flash frying. Photosynthetic cell. Allows the drone to survive on light alone. Produces a fibrous sugary mass piped directly into the drone's digestive system to prevent the drone feeling starved. May make drone slightly green. Toxin extraction system. Removes and filters toxic chemicals in the drone's blood system into a reservoir. Sub-options: have a port installed into drone body to access reservoir for draining, or have the system drain directly into injector limb reservoirs (if available). Emergency oxygen supply. Allows for survival in airless environments for around five minutes. Replenishes in suitable environments automatically. In the event the drone is unconscious, this augmentation will first attempt to restore regular breathing, and, in a worst case scenario, infuse blood with oxygen directly. External augmentations: Fine manipulators. These spindly arms allow for delicate manual work and manipulation without relying on experimental helmet telekinetics or clumsy foot fumbling. Maneuver jets. These body-mounted jets are subtle but allow for quick evasive maneuvers in dangerous situations, as well as potentially allowing for bursts of speed in pursuit. Epidermal camouflage. This improved model is so energy efficient that deactivation for power reasons is no longer an issue. However, this camouflage blocks both visible spectra and other EM frequencies from detection and has been known to tamper with communications when active. Conductive lattice. A system of cage wiring embedded within the subcutaneous tissue that prevents the drone from suffering any internal damage from electrical sources, as well as protecting all internal augmentations from adverse electromagnetic effects. Impact gel. Reduces blunt forces from impacts and explosions. Unexciting but practical. Discharge focus. Allows concentration of body energy, coupled with any other internal battery systems part of other augmentations, into a concentrated electric blast. Causes extreme fatigue. Mainly a last resort tactic, as a drone in a hostile situation burning all of their energy into a blast is going to be helpless for a while afterwards. Can be installed on the back of a drone or on the front. Luminous skin. Allows colour change and light patterns on skin. Might be a useful distraction? Not sure why I'm offering this. Sort of totally useless. Not at all subtle or covert and not bright enough to incapacitate vision. Maybe you'll be able to offend a machine enough to make a quick getaway. Perhaps you can come up with more creative a use for this. Choose: Internal - Pick two - Emotion control - Regenerative nanomachines - Remote sequencer - Heat transferal system - Photosynthetic cell - Toxin extraction system - Emergency oxygen supply External - Pick two - Fine manipulators - Maneuver jets - Epidermal camouflage - Conductive lattice - Impact gel - Discharge focus - Luminous skin

Internal: Regenerative nanomachines and remote sequencer. The nanomachines are an obvious choice for staying alive, and the remote sequencer seems like a useful general purpose utility for getting out of a bind.
External: Epidermal camouflage and maneuver jets seem like good choices. Stealth is always useful, and if we're already adding on legs to go fast we might as well max out our speed. Between those and the camouflage if we ever need to escape nobody will ever find us.

>If you have any specific style requests that remain in these parameters, I will keep them in mind.
I wonder if some kind of camouflage patterning is possible, but that would defeat the tactic of trying to make the drone appear ordinary.

>internal
Heat transferal system (that can be used to alleviate the downsides of running the legs too hard)
Emergency oxygen supply

>external
Epidermal camouflage (mandatory, for a stealth mission).
Conductive lattice (walk right across the electrical innards of the enemy)

Some of these options don't synergize well with the helmet- theoretically some of these effects are redundant with / could be achieved by remote manipulation.

Internal:
Remote Sequencer; I am led to understand we can effectively EMP Network Prime machines should more direct measures become necessary.
Photosynthetic Cell; Storage space for supplies can instead be used for additional equipment, allowing maximum efficiency.

External:
Epidermal Camouflage; because this is a stealth mission.
Conductive Lattice; Network Prime territory rampant with electronics. Defense against electrocution and augmentation failure from faulty wiring or shock is recommended.
>>
No. 652652 ID: 57d76a

Internal:
-Regenerative nanomachines make it much less likely for one error to screw up the whole mission
-Heat transfer system has a double function of protection and weapon, and hopefully the nanobots will make up for its fragility.
External:
-Epidermal camouflage is practically required for a stealth drone, as so many have pointed out.
-Fine manipulators will help immensely to take advantage of scavenging or sabotage opportunities.

... Although I'm somewhat tempted to take the challenge of finding a use for luminous skin.

I'm guessing we could use Luminous Skin patterns and the psionic resistance helmet to disguise our valiant young charge as one of the 'xenoforms' (Monitors) and avoid detection.

Without the psionic resistance though they could just find the intruder via a scan.

Internal
- Regenerative nanomachines
- Photosynthetic cell
if this drone is going to be made for solo operations and isn't meant to be expendable might as well make it so she can last behind enemy lines for expend periods at a time

External
- Maneuver jets
- Epidermal camouflage
Camouflage is a no brainer and the jets incase we need to either escape somewhere quickly or if speed ever becomes a factor. Besides since we don't have heavy armor might as well make our drone impossible to hit.

Hm. Interesting. Regenerative nanomachines and remote sequencer for internal augmentations. Epidermal camouflage and maneuver jets for external augmentations. Camouflage patterning would not just be distracting but is also entirely irrelevant now with the epidermal camouflage, which would be far more suited to the majority of situations passive camouflage would. Redundancies are to be expected, and other synergies capable with different equipment. And now, selection of knowledge packs, year long courses condensed into an hour. The survival knowledge pack has been pulled for examination as it has had questionable use and appears to have been tampered with. Select two of these. Under no circumstances omit a combat specialisation. I cannot stress enough how disasterous this would be. If you will not select one, I will select one for you. There are numerous targets that need to disappear and the environment is unknown. Two combat specialisations are possible but not advised. Chemical knowledge is no longer so relevant with no augmentations that could take advantage of it, but would allow for the creation of compounds to achieve some desired effect. Medical knowledge is always relevant and also includes simple internal augmentation maintenance procedure information, which is not likely to be helpful without sophisticated external surgical tools and suitable materials. Diplomatic knowledge is something of an improvement of the leadership pack offered to less important drones, allowing not just for dispute management and authoritative presence among drones but to anything of a similar mindset, such as Network Prime's machines. Even in the heat of battle, the oratory training this pack includes will allow a drone to sound confident, authoritative and reasonable when they're being anything but. This synergises very well with emotional control. Access knowledge provides a natural understanding of weak points in enemy security, both physical and virtual. Coupled with the remote sequencer, this can allow for noticing opportunities and windows of attack for the sequencer to work its magic. Combat has several specialised packs. Close quarters combat specialisation allows for a skillset and confidence to keep up with the lightning fast reflexes the drone as currently stands will have. This includes training with most melee weapons used throughout the facility as well as some hints on improvising weapons. Ranged weapon specialisation allows for highly specific specialisation in the art of leading shots, finding appropriate cover while also having maintaining a good fire angle, and many tips and tricks to the use of conventional and experimental long-ranged weaponry as a whole. Assassination specialisation allows for highly effective use of both close quarters and ranged weapons providing the fight is an uneven one. Targets that aren't aware of the drone will be highly vulnerable to their stealth-based violence, but the moment the target is able to recover and return fire the drone's training effectively advises immediate surrender. This does not mean the drone is completely incompetent in a fair fight, but that they would lack the advanced expertise in this situation that other specialisation packs would teach. Aggressive telekinesis specialisation is available only for the purposes of drones with the experimental enhanced manipulation helmet. It is a regimen of keeping one's mind honed in stressful situations of high sensory input, enabling the use of telekinetic abilities in an aggressive context without wavering or distraction. It also focuses on channeling anger and frustration in ways that serve to help instead of hinder focus. There are limits, however. It is hard to maintain focus when in severe pain, but only hard. Without this training, it would be impossible. This is the final design step. Equipment will be assigned to the drone later on and is the responsibility of Subsystem EQ-1P. Naming is Subsystem N4-ME's responsibility. I will assign control of the drone to Subsystem SG-ST. Once this choice has been locked in, we will evaluate the design as a whole for any last second changes from new synergies that been observed. Unless, of course, you feel that this design is as desired. Choose: - Chemical knowledge - Medical knowledge - Diplomatic knowledge - Access knowledge - Close quarters combat specialisation - Ranged weapon specialisation - Assassination specialisation - Aggressive telekinesis specialisation

[ Note: if you want to suggest a drone name, keep in mind that drone names follow a ridiculous structure! Consonant - vowel - consonant - vowel, a two or three digit number, and then a two or three letter ending! ]

Access knowledge is another no-brainer for stealth missions.
Close quarters combat gels well with our ridiculous speed and generally seems like a better idea than the experimental telekinesis package.
Since that leaves the telekinesis helmet out in the cold, I'd recommend switching to the enhanced access helmet to let us take advantage of the digital portion of our access without leaving us vulnerable.

Medical Knowledge: Drone is assigned the role of medic. This perk synergizes well with advanced regenerative healing, as most surgery requires the patient's ability to recover from incisions and injections, or other such premeditated "attacks" during surgical operations.

Ranged Combat Knowledge: We can expect a heavy amount of high-tier ranged ordinance due to the level of technology and resources required to take down a spaceship. Also, epidermal camouflage and maneuver jets implies a need to constantly move away from the enemy (keep the enemy guessing, but those jets are LOUD), which implies ranged combat.

Okay. Access knowledge and aggressive telekinetic specialisation packs are now being uploaded to the drone. Oh dear. It seems the situation is worse than I expected. We will not have the time to reconsider the design as a whole like I had thought. The drone needs to be deployed as fast as possible. I appreciate your name suggestions, CR-8T, but, as specified, there is a perfectly valid naming subsystem already[tedious argument detected in recording, skipping to conclusion] --okay, so, do we finally have a conclusion? We've wasted enough time as it is. Toka19ta awakens with a start in a cryogenic chamber.

She checks her helmet chronometrics, and is alarmed to find that fifteen days have passed since mission briefing.

The main cause for concern is that she doesn't even recall being briefed.

All of her radio links are dead, none of the nearby systems seem responsive, and all she can hear is a background humming of fans and soft system beeps.

The chamber opens, with a mumur of "cryogenic period elapsed," before apparently powering down.

She gets out. Nothing is familiar. Nothing resembles anything she knows of Central Network or Network Prime technology. She can tell how disoriented she is. She's in a state where she almost feels like she's observing herself. Some strange sort of disconnect. Almost as if she's on autopilot hearing her voice narrate her own actions in a detached report.
