So, just writing a little note here. I won't make updates as "image-y" as this one in the near future, I want to try and find a more stable balance between pictures and text in order to proceed faster with the story, I really hope you won't mind because I'm having a blast so far!

This is only my second quest, since the first one (Donkey Quest) was interrupted, so I'm still learning the ropes and the fact english is not my native language doesn't make it one bit easier. But it's just too fun not to give it a try!

So yeah, more writing and less drawing, unless it's very necessary, so that I can focus both on the quest itself and training for art-school, this will also allow me to update much faster. Hope that won't be too much of a downer.

Also for questions, curiosity and simple, plain feedback check the following link out:

http://tgchan.org/kusaba/questdis/res/103424.html

Have a good one guys and thanks a lot for the suggestions you gave me, some were incredibly funny and inspiring. Keep up the good job, se ya'll with the next update!

As you turn around you come to the realization that retrieving your pendant from the magpie might have taken a little too much, since both the

guards managed to get to you, conveniently cornering you to the tree behind your back. One of them intimate you to give them Lady Tania's

pendant back.

But you refuse, of course, telling them you have no idea why that "Tania" girl would state otherwise, but that pendant is yours and yours only...

Well, yours and your mother's before you. It's the only thing she ever left to you before abandoning you in front of Sarabella's orphanage.

And while working at the tavern, like you do everyday since some time on, she just walked to you and quite literally ripped it off your neck, screaming that you stole it from her and that she demanded justice, or something crazy like that. Despite being obviously the one in need of help out of nowhere, you both walked to her and tried to hold her back while Tania walked contentedly out the door with her belongings.

That's when the magpie came into play. The bird grabbed the pendant off those slim, disgusting fingers of hers the moment she stepped outside and you managed to wrestle your way out of them to follow after it while two beefy guys were running after you commanded by the hysterical screaming of a very mad woman...

Offer them the pendant, explaining that it's just a gold copy of an artifact, probably used centuries ago in the heist for the real one, and that your copy has too many scratches and impurities to be worth more than the gold it's made from. Then jam it into the face of the guard who is stupid enough to look up close.

It's just that while working at the tavern, like every day
since some time on, this gal just walked to you and quite literally ripped the pendant off your neck, screaming that you stole it from her and that she demanded justice, or something crazy like that. And, despite being obviously the one of the pair that needed assistance, when they approached the scene you got the blame!

You desperately tried to reach for the precious belonging, but Tania kept it out of reach, walking out the tavern. That's when the magpie came into play. When she stepped outside the bird grabbed the pendant off those slim, disgusting fingers of hers. You ran after it and you know pretty well how it went from then on...

It's like they didn't care about what actually happened! Or didn't see it at all when they were sitting just a few tables away. They both just blamed everything on you without question, and to think you offered them all those drinks...

>>Tell them they gotta prove you stole it before they can take it from you. Right now it's just your word against hers.

But let's go by their logic, you say, since they're acting as if nothing happened right before their stupid eyes: how do they know you stole the darn thing? Shouldn't there be some kind of trial or something? Should you think they're going by some kind of privilege just because Lady Tania is a high rank noble woman? How are the villagers they swore to protect going to take it? Not well she suppose...

>>Plus, if you had stolen it, why would you chase the bird down instead of running away?

As cherry on the pie you add that if she had actually stole the pendant she would have probably ran away after the magpie took it, instead of chasing after it.

The guards both seem to take your words in consideration. One of them states that you might have more than a point there. The other scratches his chin, thinking... After a while he says that you're right!

You've been around for nearly a year now and they've known you closely enough to be pretty sure you wouldn't just go around stealing stuff like that, considering the many times you spent time together after work drinking with you and Hans, the tavern's owner and your former boss.

Outside of affective there's absolutely nothing of value in the pendant. It's not real gold, you had an expert analyze it, and you were never able to open it either. Not even a blacksmith could break its seal. So, yeah, aside from being unbreakable, "unopenable" and completely useless there's no practical reason to keep it... Nor sell it.

You were never exactly athletic back at the orphanage, in fact you are pretty average at mostly everything and you would be even more so if you consider the fact you're wearing one boot. So sick parkour moves are not something you can afford to bust out. Not now, not ever... Presumably.

However, considering how shitty your situation is, that's something you're very capable of. You're practically keeping that pendant only as a memento and, as stated before, there's nothing valuable about it.

Hell, you're not even sure you want to actually remember you ever had a mother. After all you never saw her because she outright abandoned you. So why even care?

It's mostly because of the principle you guess... What this Lady Tania did was so blatantly evil it's simply unfair to let her have what she wants.

You might as well just let her win and keep on living. But as that thought take shape in your head words from a distant past echoes through your mind.

Collapse, back against the wall. Catch your breath as you look down the tunnel. What do you see?

While recovering you look around and discover that the room you fell into is rather small and leads to 3 doors. As you wonder what's behind them you start realizing that whoever built this place probably didn't want it to be found. Of course this thought alone makes this little refuge feel a little less secure...

What do?

bars on a door? that looks more like a prison than it is a refuge place. Rest up, and when you're ready, knock on one of the doors, but keep your distance so no one tries to grab you through the bars..

So this was supposed to be the third OOC post but it's going to be the 4th because I made another one before without a picture to compliment a few clever suggestions. Woo me.

So... That's one thin ankle, it's probably going to break if you apply too much pressure on it. Sorry the darn thing has been bothering me since yesterday and I just HAD to let it out somehow XD

So because I'm working on quite a thick background while also working on commissions AND homeworks, I'm afraid there won't be another update on the quest today. However I decided to make this little post to have your opinion on something. Check the quest discussion thread to know what it is and also see how that ankle was supposed to be made:
