for why you cut the story short: it depends on which part of the story you meant. If by cutting the story short you meant at the part where Logan is about to drop Root, it is because it would be a spoiler to the main story If it continued, especially since we are speaking with Logan right now. Unless you meant you cut the story between Root and Delilah short, in which case, I think that some big event happened to Root at that moment that you want to withhold from us for now until the time is right. But here is the event that I can think played out:

I feel Delilah is the type of person that does not give a shit about the consequences of her actions, and just let go of Root right there to finish her lesson with Root, prove her point, and have him learn to take the punches life throws at him. She then probably comes up with a lie to Derrick that Root wheeled dangerously close to the edge of the stairs, and she was only trying to save him, but he, and the chair was too heavy to hold on. But as I said, cutting the story short there meant that some big event happened at that moment. Perhaps that is when Andrew made his appearance, but that is just a theory I'm basing on nothing right now.
>>
No. 788442 ID: cc3193

>>788424
I think Andrew has been with Root for a long time. In his whole story it's possible that the man who he ran errands for was Andrew. But here's another theory, is it possible that Delilah is Derricks daughter? We know he had at least 2 sons one in the police force and he died In the fog and the daughter just disappeared. This needed up causing a rift in his family relationship and he ended up moving into a whole new place to try and start over. So him at the end of this is really a concerned dad who came up here to find his kids.

Hm, probably best if we didn't find out in this short story. We'll probably figure it out some time in the future, maybe if we draw more fan art, or see her again in the future. But to have Root, the leader and one of the main villains, know some terrible secrets about Delilah might be a bad idea in hindsight.

The way I see it, as of right now, Delilah has one up on Root knowing his dark past (us too) while Root has nothing on her to keep her in her place. That's probably why instead he resorts to offering her drugs to have her behave herself, and do what he wants. If she wanted to, she can use his secrets to her advantage if she needed to. We just need to start by getting her off her addiction somehow.

Hey, before the commercial break starts, I have a request: when we choose a short story, can we choose one that involves helping out Logan as his inner thoughts as he tries to take down Root at the party? we are worried about him, and want to ensure his safety. We told everyone to duck, because I assume ol' Jim is about to take their head off with that scythe. They are going to listen to that and if they don't or are too slow, off with their heads. Gretel is already on the ground so she safe. We may have to point our gun at Jim if he doesn't calm the fuck down, which will not be good. He doesn't know who we are but we know who he is, so if we tell him to stop by saying something "BLEEDING JIMMY, STOP!" that might give him pause. He doesn't know us yet so that would probably make him hold that scythe. During that time we can tell these other gals to hit the road, being scared shitless by a crazy man and a girl with a gun can do that to you. I'm gambling on whether or not Jimmy knows about us however, someone wanted to give him a call after the ambassador but we never got the chance. It's possible Blacky called him up, but I think he is a little preoccupied with his lack of an arm.

So main goal right now, let's not let any one die here. I have a feeling that regardless of whether or not however we save the three girls, we will have a choice of who to bring along with us, Jimmy or Gretel. We know Jimmy works for cash only but I have a feeling he might find us interesting enough to just work pro bono (especially since we know who he is and are holding a fireball). Gretel on the other hand can act as a healer, and I'm glad to know my previous assumptions about her appear to be wrong. Regardless of who we pick however, I doubt either will get along with each other so we can't take both, and which ever we pick the other might become an enemy (especially Jimmy given that "Once he is your friend you don't need anyone else.")

That occurred to me too, but it's unlikely. All of the bodyguards that were taken didn't show up on the available roster. So if he's Gretel's body guard then why was he still available? Plus, if he was her body guard why wait so long to help her while she was getting beat up?

Honestly at times it seems we take 1 step forward and then 3 steps back. Like trying to help Gretel, and then getting shot and then taken prisoner. It seems can seem pretty unfair at times. Don't get me wrong when we get stuff right it's awesome, but it's almost like we are trying to play another guessing game of which is the best course of action. And when we try to do right everyone else just kinda turns on us. What bugs me is we seem to know a lot but at the same time know jack shit. Idk my thoughts are while we certainly don't expect to be pacifists in this, just trying to make the right choices is always more difficult, but hey, if it weren't difficult, it wouldn't be heroic.
>>
No. 791532 ID: 143250

While some of the decisions we make might seem good in the long run actually turn out to bite us in the ass very harshly in multiple scenarios, we have to consider that Root has also been suffering very harsh consequences for his actions as well. One moment that comes to mind is him killing Absolution. That pissed off a lot of characters in the story, and he is suffering for those consequences from the dream walker's nightmares, Andrew wanting to punish him, and suffering a difficult battle against Logan just to name a few.

Also, in a storytelling perspective, I think it makes the character more relatable and interesting if they try their absolute hardest but fail spectacularly. That way when they actually do succeed in the future, even if it is a small success, it feels a lot more rewarding, satisfying and deserving after all the shit they go through.

So yeah, while I see the consequences can get very harsh at times, I believe if we can fight through and adapt through our dumb decisions will make the goals much more rewarding.

Alright. My plans for choosing these next stories is to start with the free ones. After those are gone, we'll do the cheap ones. That way, if a story or something else pops out of nowhere that requires a lot of keys, we'll have enough to spend. Gotta reward budgeting.

That's fine, you already have a bunch of other stuff on your plate at the moment. What I would do instead to save on time and work load, is if you want to do another short story like this, do it at the end of a chapter or thread. This way you can save on space and it's not a juggling act to keep them all going at once.

I think we, as in Ana's other selves, are number 6 as it take all of us to make a whole.
Ana is 3, as it's the most structured out of all of them
Andrew is 9 because hey, demon trumpet for demon man
Delilah is 2, it's jittery and shakey, not unlike herself when she goes through withdrawal
I don't know why but I associate Root with 1.
Absolution is 19, because eye ball
Wild Cat is 15, it seems to be his kind style with the curls and all
Lester I associate with 7, I think it's because the lines of the born end remind me of an EKG heart rate.
I'll come with more later but these are what I think so far.

Alright so here are more:

4. boxy, it's pretty simplistic in its design and gives the impression of a clean slate
5. Clara, the way it's drawn, parts of it are colored in and others aren't. I get an impression that something is missing from it, just as Clara is missing part of herself
8. the design of it is more something out of a Chinese painting to me, so because of that I associate it with someone who has a lot of discipline in what they do, someone like Godfrey
10. Impossible to play and even more impossible to understand... so you
11. Something that creates a natural music ends in artificial music... whoever is fucking up the television signals
12. The way is been drawn makes it seem much more like a shadow, because of this I associate with a being of shadows, like the Ambassador.
13. Looks practical and useful, but the lines imply something is just off, so Lorence
14. Looks like a hydra or some form of torture equipment to me... The creepy carpenter
16. A wacky thing that looks like it's going to cause a lot of trouble and is very loud... FBI agent Laura
17. I don't associate this so much with melting as much as I do ripples in the water. Water can cast a reflection and that means self reflection. Someone who is reflecting upon themselves would be someone like 93 who's whole world has changed and needs to reflect on her life.
18. Short and stubby with a crown and an air of self importance. "General" Flint
20. That looks like something Jack would sell.

So can I also ask what the point of this was? And are you really able to prescribe me anything because I'm pretty sure this diploma you got from "Granny Wunker Bunker's college of cartoon psychology" isn't worth much???

Actually, it just says diploma, no signature. Doesn't even tell us what for.

.... um I did. Those were my answers I just forgot to put my name in there (sorry), maybe that would explain why I'm clinically insane? And I find it funny because you actually got pretty close strangely enough technically in my other life I do have control over a lot of people, mostly elementary school students.

Well given that it's elementary school they generally really like me and have a lot of fun. So I guess respect would be the answer. You can't teach effectlively if your students are afraid of you.

Also, as for hated characters? I couldn't say. The people we hate are kinda come and go. We hate them then we find new reasons to like them again.

definitely the producer, and his edgelord gothy son, whats his name? oh yeah, motion capture. He's that uninteresting of a kid, trying too hard to be cool that I keep forgetting his name... He's not here, is he?

Well, while I would like to see them on your top 10 list, I don't think they will appreciate it and get you into more trouble. So in that case, lets just say that even acknowledging them in any kind of list would be too good for them, even if it is a most hated list.

Hard to choose, let alone place them as these characters are likable in a from a love to hate sort of way, to being a sympathetic villains. Some of them we need to learn more about to get a better understanding. nonetheless, in no particular order:
21 (make sure you don't show him this list, don't want him coming into this non canonical universe again to berate us)
11 (do we even need a reason?)
12 (for how pointless it is. Why is his toupee even on here? is it just on the list for adding more characters? What is this story trying to be? the Simpsons?)
19 (what a poser. He is like one of those gothy hipster kids. I bet if he had a screen name in message boards, it would be something like "darkblood" or something)
5 (probably not on the top 5 of the list though. Very cruel person, but he's doing it because he cares)
23 (scary)
16 (Flint is a coward)
1 (one of the main causes for all this mess)

not numbered:
Desolation (Ana corrupted by AJ's anger. Jeez)
ourselves (we are to blame for some of the mistakes and we hate ourselves for it, but seriously, how were we supposed to know?)

alright to be honest I don't have levels of hate and I don't think REAL HATE can be represented numerically. I just have people that Hate a lot so rather than assign them levels of hate I'm just going to standardize the ones I hate most and then give them the insult that I feels properly shows them how much I hate them. Ahem...

Andrew: Is your ass jealous of the amount of shit that comes out of your mouth?
Root: How wide has your ass gotten from taking Andrews nonexistent cock? And if I wanted to kill myself id climb your ego and jump to your IQ.
Delilah: There's a tree somewhere in the world tirelessly making oxygen for us to breathe, and I think you should immediately apologize to it.
Lorence: Your not even half the man your wife was.
Luvia: You aren't pretty enough to be this stupid
Susan: I hope your parents out live you and you die alone
Anthony: I used to be pro-life, then I met you and your sister
Flint: I don't have the time or the crayons to deal with how childish you are
Stitch: you bring around so much joy- when you're not around
Clara: GET REKT!
Big-Chin producer: are your balls jelous of the size of your chin?
Mokap: You are depriving some village of their idiot

I think that's everyone that I really hate taken care of. I hope this was very informative, And my passing insult to you all is this. Your family trees must be a cactus, because you're all a bunch of prick. Get Fucked.

Might not be a bad idea as they aren't necessarily part of the actual quest
