It's a dirty old bin full of dirty old clothes. How could you possibly think anything useful could be in there?

How should she know? Rina's always been finding useful stuff in weird places.

> Get your gun out. He is likely compromised. Remember, we were told that they don't always look like husks.

Rina whips out her pistol and points it at the figure, shouting, "Get on the ground! Don't come any closer!"

You also let an a curious college student keep a damn lockbox carrying some textbook dark horror no one can really comprimise without telling her. You just told me not open the box, and you know how the fuck college students are, you look like a goddamn professor. Yeah, you're full of great ideas, Teach."

And he's always talked down to you this entire time. No ounce of respect for another human being in his voice. Rina approaches Mr. Farrow.

"You don't have the symbol anymore. You don't have any protection against the Darkness."

"I am well aware of this."

Rina grimaces at Mr. Farrow's odd mood. She figured he would be rather panicky and afraid, but he is impressively stoic and calm. As Rina gets closer, Mr. Farrow very slowly lowers himself onto a knee.

"What a great idea, huh? Letting some random, curious college student keep hold of some weird box carrying unimaginable horrors without telling her a damn thing about it. Did you even know what you were getting into?" Rina growls.

"Those horrors were not yours to release at the time. Who told you this? Harry? I bet you're sided with him as well, hm? You've brought a hell of a snag on my plans, but it is here where everything will change, regardless. It's no use dwelling on the past. It's time to fix what you started, Rina." He gazes at her breasts. "Would you mind returning my glasses? I'm having a hard time seeing, you know."

I mean, whatever your goal is, it can't be as bad as taking over the world or a really shitty attempt at world peace by killing everybody you hate off, those are pretty much the only thing I would have a problem with. "Oh, I did want it to happen," Mr. Farrow interrupts. "You've done quite a good job keeping them distracted." He once again looks at Rina's chest. "My glasses?"

"Get on the ground, now!" Rina gestures with her gun and Mr. Farrow continues to lie on his belly with his arms spread. "What the hell are these 'plans' of yours anyway?" Rina asks.

"There's no use hiding it anymore, so I'll give you a little hint. That orb is quite the ancient artifact. It isn't some ordinary decorated sphere. It most certainly would sell for a fortune, enough to keep me set for the rest of my life."

"Why didn't you just sell it then? Why did you give it to Harry?"

"I didn't give it to that lunatic. I gave it to some villagers, at the time unaware of how much worth the thing had. They offered me quite a sum of money anyway. I researched on it some more after the exchange, and that's when it hit me. I knew simply DISTURBING the thing would cause backlash of some sort. Ask what the light is. After he responds shoot him in the head, then roll him over and put a bullet right where his skull and spinal cord connect.

What he did was the equivalent of giving a kid a live grenade knowing people would die, and getting upset the kid survived and realized what he did.
Normally I'd suggest taking him prisoner in one of the cells, but he's obviously stalling for time and we can't leave him any chance to get things back under his control.
He's an unrepentant mass murderer; killing him is just.

We should execute him because he's dangerous. It's a morally defensible action because of the utility of executing a dangerous man, as well as his clear lack of remorse at having caused this whole mess. His actions were premeditated and deliberate. He just said that he knew they would cause death on a large scale, and that he did it all for something as pointless as money. He just admitted to it himself, and he said that he expected Rina to die. Causing the death of another person is a crime, even indirectly. One could argue that shooting a gun at someone is indirect, because the bullet is actually doing the murdering. One could even argue, "I am not my finger, therefore, I didn't pull the trigger."

> Ask how Harry got his hands on the orb, and what he thinks Harry plans to do with it.

"How did Harry get his hands on the orb. What is Harry going to do with it?" Rina asks.

"Who knows. That kid's shaken up. I don't even know if anyone else is still alive at his village after that. I encountered him a couple times. They were not very pleasant encounters, mind you. He mentioned he wanted to stop the evil I started. Well, I can't bring myself to believe him, regardless. As for how he got it, well...we encountered each other yet again, and this time he's won."

> Ask what the light is.

"What is the Light?" Rina asks. It takes Mr. Farrow several seconds to reply with a simple, "I don't know."

> After he responds shoot him in the head, then roll him over and put a bullet right where his skull and spinal cord connect.

An almost sickening awkward silence follows after, a silence in which Rina's emotions are in a tight squabble. Something in her drives her to just finish him off then and there. He's a murderous, unrepentant son of a bitch. There is no reason Rina shouldn't just off him when he's right at her feet, face to the dirt-caked ground. This is it for him.

...but something holds her back. Her trigger finger trembles, numb and unresponsive. This is an actual anthro being she's about to execute this time. He's a cold-hearted fuck, but Rina gets a very different feeling for this certain situation. Doubts start to fill her mind. What would be the consequences?

This isn't about punishment, this is about eliminating a threat.
We don't know if he has allies, and we don't know if he has strange powers like what Light gave you.
The black goo sealed Janice in, but what's to stop it from unlocking the door for him?
What if one of your friends comes here looking to help? He could easily convince them to let him out of a cell, and then he would once again be able to muck everything up.

Besides that? He's an unrepentant murderer who enjoyed what he did. The justice system is meant to keep innocent people from being punished and find the people responsible for crimes, as opposed to mob justice where a whoever is convenient is punished to slake a need for vengeance.
Punish the guilty in accordance with their crimes and protect the innocent. That is the core of justice.

We remember what he did. He has admitted to it. His only regrets are that you lived and his plans didn't work. His guilt is known beyond a shadow of a doubt, and there are no mitigating factors for leniency.

In practical terms, he has to die to ensure he doesn't have a chance to escape and cause more damage. In terms of justice, he deserves to die.

don't kill him, its not about weather its right or wrong, its about what it will do to you. the darkness needs to be fought with conviction and morality as much as anything, and if you kill him in cold blood it will change you for the worse, and the kind of doubt it will give you would be a death sentence. that said he's a threat, so shooting him in the leg and giving him some bandages so he won't bleed out might not be a bad idea.

It's done. Mr. Farrow is dead. Rina feels her legs tremble violently, sweat dripping all over her face. She slowly lowers her gun, her eyes fixated on Mr. Farrow's lifeless corpse. She does not know what to feel. Killing spiritual beings of utter darkness? Fine. Killing an anthro being, even if he had a heart as rotten as sewage? That was something else. Mr. Farrow made his decisions, and he definitely deserved punishment for the horrid thing he's done. It may not have been Rina's choice to end his life...but it's too late to think on it now. Rina gathers herself up. She still needs to find her friends...and Janice.

Rina presses forward after covering Mr. Farrow's body with some of the clothes in the bin. Thankfully, Rina does not encounter anything else as she makes her way to Block 6. Inside the Block 6 chamber, Rina finds a small room in the corner at the end of the block. She goes into it.

Janice zips open her jacket. There's a hole in her shirt, the wound peeking through it shyly. Rina carefully lifts up her shirt, Janice wincing in pain as she does so.

There is a gash on her belly. She's been stabbed, the wound leaking blood.

"It was that bastard," Janice says. She puts pressure on her wound with both hands, shouting out in pain. "I looked over him for a bit when he was at the hospital. I didn't like him. Not one bit."

"Do you know how deep the wound is?"
Pick her up and carry her to Glade. If we're lucky there's still a first aid kit in the security room.

> "Do you know how deep the wound is?"

"Do you know how deep the wound is?" Rina asks Janice as she slowly rolls her shirt back down. Janice zips up her jacket and sighs, keeping a hand pressed on her wound.

"He stabbed me. It went in pretty deep I'm sure," the dog mutters.

> Pick her up and carry her to Glade. If we're lucky there's still a first aid kit in the security room.

"Janice, I have to carry you back to Glade. Maybe we'll find a first aid kit along the way."

"Carry me? No...no, I can walk. I will just slow you down. But don't carry me. That's not safe..." Janice slowly lifts herself up. Rina quickly goes over and picks up the ring box. She then walks over and aids Janice. They place their hands on each other's shoulders.

Together they walk out the room, heading to where Rina had come from.

"Janice, what are you even doing here?" Rina asks.

"I had to get...him. I had to make him pay. I heard the news of the police station. It was demolished, my love being one of the people inside. I saw the crazy bastard being taken to the station not long after I met you. He must've done it. He must've killed my love. He has a horrible face. I can't stand it. I just had a strong feeling he was responsible..." Janice explains.

"Are you talking about Harry?"

"Yeah, I think that's his name."

"Janice, it's dangerous to be walking around here, let alone outside!"

"I know. I've been seeing other awful things. Sometimes I think to myself perhaps Harry is doing that too. Ugh!" Janice stops and groans in pain, bending over slightly. After several seconds, they move on.

"I definitely can't say he is trustworthy," Rina says, "but he seems to want to stop all this craziness. I don't think it's him that's causing this though."

"Hmph," Janice simply scoffs, looking off to the side.

Admit that you're the one that started this, accidentally. What happened at the police station was what happened at the cabin you found. A big thing is hunting you. Destroying places that you've been previously, especially buildings. A ram who organized a geocaching search tricked you into locating the object that held the big thing and opening it, without telling you what was in the box or the consequences of opening it. He's dead now though.

Harry's just insane from everything that's happened. It's apparently happened before to him, but in less extreme measures. And he doesn't have the mental fortitude or support structure you have to keep yourself from going nuts like he has.

Harry is literally nothing but an insane man now. There's nothing left but to think about him how you personally thing of other insane people. Pity, anger, whatever, but he didn't start this. Now being pissed at him for stabbing her? Yeah, totally allowed. That was a dick move.

"No, the police station was overrun by zombies. The person to blame is Mr. Farrow; he was gloating about it. He planned all this; he wanted it to happen."

"And...it wasn't Harry who caused that building to get destroyed. It was a man named Mr. Farrow. He held a little geocaching trip. Glade and I went along with it, and I happened to find the box that held those...things. The Darkness. Mr. Farrow never told me what was inside but ordered me not to open it. I guess this was my fault too...because my curiosity got the best of me. I opened the box...and then all this shit happened. I'm sorry, Janice."

Janice doesn't seem to respond, still looking away. Rina thinks the only reason the dog is still grasping onto her is for the sake of not helplessly being sprawled on the ground bleeding to death again. Blood drips slightly between Janice's fingers. It's silent, and Rina feels an overwhelming aura from Janice. Rina knows she's trying to hold back bitter anger, trying not to lash out.

"Harry's just nothing but an insane man now," Rina says.

Together Rina and Janice finally make it back to the room Glade is in, luckily avoiding any encounter along the way.

"Rina!" Glade says behind the glass. Rina feels her chest swell with relief. "Who is this?" Glade asks.

"Oh, this is Janice. She was my nurse back at the hospital. She'll help us. Janice, do you know how to get this door opened?" Janice takes a moment to respond, her eyes fixated on the table. She leans over and presses something on its side.

"You didn't know about this?" the dog asks. The door slides open with impressive speed. Rina just stares, almost speechless.

"Er, ah, no."

"Well, you probably still wouldn't have been able to open it. It's a special sort of button that detects print patterns on one's finger," Janice explains.

"What are you talking about?" Rina asks.

> Back away a little from Janice and ask what he's talking about. Confess you don't really know a lot about her.

Rina slowly shuffles away from Janice, trying to look as nonchalant as possible.

"Look, Harry, I don't know a lot about her."

"Is that so? Give me one reason why I should trust you," Harry says. Janice leans on the table for a couple seconds. She then growls angrily, spittles of saliva flying out of her mouth as she whirls at Harry.

"You SICK BASTARD!" she yells. Everyone flinches at her sudden outburst. Harry keeps his pistol pointed at her. "You waltz in here, waving a gun around and demanding answers! You are so fake I cannot believe it!"

"Careful, lady," Harry says, his voice low, "You aren't talking to worthless ol' Harry anymore. You're talking to Harry with a gun. Back off."

"It's your fault. You killed my husband. You and your Darkness!" Janice shouts. She groans, keeping one of her arms pressed on her stomach.

"Darkness? What the hell are you even talking about?" Harry laughs and continues, "I helped you, remember? I got you stationed somewhere else. You couldn't stand this place. You couldn't stand all those voices as you looked over those rotting, nonsense-spouting bags of meat. You wanted it all to stop, and I fixed it all."

"At the price of continuing to watch over you!"

"That's right. So what's the problem?"

"I knew I never should've done this. I've seen what you do."

"You're out of it, woman," Harry chuckles. "Either way, you tried to kill me back there. I was only defending myself. You're lucky I didn't just end your pathetic life with your own gun. But maybe that can change..." Harry looks thoughtful for a moment, and then points his pistol at Rina.

"Janice, lay down and shut up.

Harry.
Mr. Farrow was responsible for all of this. He set it in motion knowing full well what would happen. He wanted to keep this going even after he saw how horrible it was, and was willing to lie and kill to do it.
I put a bullet in his forehead, and I'm going to have to live with that for the rest of my life.

None of this darkness stuff makes any sense to me; I can't make informed judgement calls. The best I can do is what seems right.
Janice has lost so much, she's seriously wounded, and when she got here she was possessed. As far as I can tell she hasn't done anything out of malice, and even if I believed she wanted to keep this going she's in no condition to do much of anything.

Remember what you told me, Harry? You said you're no murderer. Glade and I will make sure Janice doesn't do anything dumb; you don't need to worry about her.

Now, if you want me to make intelligent choices instead of gut choices then you need to give me the intel I need. Lower the gun and start explaining what the fuck is going on."

"Harry, Farrow's dead," Rina says. An awkward silence follows as a devilish smirk slowly formed across Harry's face.

"I would assume he is, now that he doesn't have the slab," Harry replies. Rina gulps, not certain if she should say that she is, in fact, the one who offed him.

"He let all this happen. He wanted to keep it going, even after seeing how fucking chaotic and messed up it all was. I..." she stops and breaths in, "I killed him. I put a bullet in his head." Harry continues to smirk creepily. "I'm going to have to live with that for the rest of my life."

"Don't worry, Rina. I, too, have so many things I will have to live with as well. But soon it'll all be okay."

"Remember what you told me, Harry? You said you weren't a murderer."

"Indeed. I am only protecting myself. Everything up to this point has been self-defense," he interrupts. Janice spits.

"God damned liar!" she shouts. Harry just chuckles.

"Tell you what, Rina. I like you. I like you alot. I'm going to spare you, but I'll warn you too. Don't follow me. I can take care of myself now. From here on out, Nysindra has no chance." Harry pauses for a moment, looking like he's about to put the pistol away.

That would be too extreme. I think we should wait until his back is turned then point our gun at him and order him to freeze. He is to drop his gun and kick it over to us, and give us the box and orb afterwards. He can't be trusted with it, as he is not a good person. We have spoken with the Black Cloak; it takes a good person to solve this mess.

We also should ask him if he knows where our boyfriend is. Then we'll lock him up where Glade was, making sure Glade exits first and we both stay out of reach of him- he likely still has a knife.

I'd amputate his index finger off, he'll never be able to fire another gun in his life, but still'd be useful if he cooperated.
However we do that depends on the tools we'd have at the time and how'd we'd be able to get him to cooperate after.

I'm not going to feel too bad about what happened to Janice, it sounded like she's in the same boat as Harry with her own psychosis and dangers to deal with. We can tell she's hardly innocent herself from this event, still didn't deserve a fatal shot, but well... she got problems. I got the feeling she'd probably would have her own claim of self-defense if she was the one with the gun and Harry with the knife wound.

No. Self defense is based entirely on the person being a threat. She was unarmed, could barely stand, and he had a gun. All the threat factors were in his favor, not hers.

That thing he just did? That was murder. Premeditated murder, in fact.

Aim your gun at his back and tell him to drop the gun, put his hands on his head, and make no sudden movements. If he fails to do even ONE of those things then put a bullet in him. In his spine, if you can; partial paralysis would keep him him under control but still able to answer questions.

Rina is compelled to follow and put a bullet in him, but it's eventually drowned out by the realization that Janice was still alive. Regardless, the nurse's life is ticking away rapidly. She breathes in pathetic gasps, staring into nothingness. Rina doesn't know what exactly it is...she hardly even knows Janice on a personal level, even if Rina acknowledges such things like her psychosis and whatever other mental illnesses she might have had.

Rina has no idea what to say. She simply grasps Janice's hand tightly, watching as the dog attempts to speak. Finally, after a couple gurgles, she says, "Rina. It's okay. It's better this way." Janice's eyes roll up slightly. "There. Don't you see him? Alex...?"
