Behold, my worthless servants. I have given you form. It's a pathetic, stupid form, because all you get to do is watch and maybe whisper your idiotic ideas to my mortal servants.

Now, choose someplace for my servants to get a fresh start spreading chaos and discord in my name. I don't care where, just any kind of terrain you choose. Then, GO!

Maybe not just a tunnel system, but a small underground area to store food and supplies.

Guys, guys, guys. We're getting off-track here. Herding goats? Digging tunnels? Have you forgotten who we are? We aren't regular joes, we're servants to the Dark Lord! We need a damn sacrificial altar, gut some goats and maybe human babies on it, maybe with nice human bone idols to go on the side. We need some proper dark rituals and shit, man. We gotta get that prayer energy up man.

tl;dr: use big slab as altar, apply blood liberally.

see this is what im talking about.

we really dont know what we are.

we barely got a food income, im not sure IF we can even make cheese, let alone sell it.

i liked the idea of tunnels. we will need wood to fortify them, and possibly a drain system. is there a river nearby?

and weapons? i dont want to try ambushes with only axes. we could make leather armor, but only after getting some dead goats...

oh i got it. how about a hunting party? get some dudes with bows and crossbows, we will get some meat to make jerked beef and leather for armors

Time to make some tools and weapons. If you don't have steel or iron to work with then get some flint.

We dug a hole to put stuff and put together a watch tower. If you want us to build more, we should probably have some full-time builders and lumberjacks or we're gonna run out of crap to build with.
We're in a forest, so we got tons of wood and meat available, if we send out hunters or lumberjacks. The ruins only have so much stone before we'll need more to build stuff out of stone and the ground is mostly dirt around here, so it'll take some diggin' to get more. We'll need actual miners working on it.

>What kind of skills do you guys have?
Just set some gobs on something and they'll learn.

>I don't really think we're gonna get a population explosion the natural way.
You stupid or somethin'? We're goblins. We could each have like, two or three kids every six months. Each one's pretty much ready to do everything at five years old. So, eight females goin' at it non-stop, in a few years we could have... Fuck yer math, it'd be a lot. but only if you get things set up good enough to let us do somethin' like that. Besides, nobody wants to sit around knocked up for years at a time unless it's super desperate, so we'd probably take turns, but we can make more.

>We need some proper dark rituals and shit, man.
I'd love to slit some human open and all, but that would probably attract attention and we're not set up to hold off much. I'm all for it once we can handle a few pissed off farmers though.

So, yeah. Get us doin' stuff or we're gonna mill around doin' nothing.
>>
No. 306244 ID: 180ec2

Yeah, we should start acquiring resources. Get a full time woodcutter and maybe a miner to dig a small mine, so that we can get stone to build stronger defenses and metal to make some real weapons.
>>
No. 306245 ID: d3ae3f

Okay, I'd say set up two miners, two lumberjacks, and two hunters. The rest start training for fighting. Rotate shifts at the watchtower between resting and training.

Get four woodcutters. Make a clearing around your palisade. 2 diggers- make a pit around the wall and start working on a tunnel system. Also, try to reroute a stream to turn the pit into a moat. Without an anvil mining for ore is a waste of time, though. Four farmer/gatherers, not so much crops as plant strawberries and raspberries and whatever the fuck is hardy and will flourish on it's own. Four hunters, get real good with those bows. Hell, make EVERYONE practice either bows or slings. Make a rock pile behind the wall for sling ammo.

Two of you should be pregnant and barefoot and weaving baskets or whatever.

[try to communicate with lurezcamor]
*clarification, this is the orb trying to communicate with him directly, not telling the goblins to.
When the channel opens ask for guidance about:
1. Setting up a religion of worshiping him (what should its tenants be, etc).
2. How clerics of him could be vested. (because clerics are AWESOME!)

Also, don't let anyone go out of camp alone. At least groups of two at all times.

I forgot we had 16 goblins and not 12. Make that two hunters, three lumberjacks, three miners, three spearmen with shields, four archers, and one farmer.

>goblins breed like crazy
Well how about that. Alright then GET BUSY.

Okay, set two dedicated lumberjacks, two dedicated hunters, and FOUR dedicated miners. The mine will initially produce naught but dirt, then stone, and eventually we may find an iron deposit or something after some exploratory mining. Even then we won't get metal from it very quickly. We need to get to the actual ore fast, and there's no such thing as too much metal anyway.

i agree, 4 full time cutters and 2 diggers. get a nice big wood pile going for anything needed. have 2 goblins with spears and leather armor watching them so if any beasts show up they can at least do a retreat without anyone dying. and finally see if any gobbo chicks have their biological clocks going off. need to start getting enough for a good army.

Wicker for furniture, baskets, curtains/dividers, replacement roofs and walls, whackin' sticks for raising the goblin kids and such. I suggest rotating the hunters with the rest of the guards/fighters so that the people who know how to use bows all get some experience actually trying to shoot living targets with them and have a clue about the local territory so they know where the enemy might come from or hide.
Eventually we want double-layer stone battlements and some sort of plan for how to both use and deal with fire offensively and defensively. We need that 'cuz it would really suck if all the humees need to get rid of us is one wizard hooking a ballistic fireball on us for a swish in the hoop (our walls).
Say, what sort of magic can we put at our disposal and what do we have to fear? It'd be nice if we could be the ones hooking a ballistic fireball out of the blue to wreck a human fortress.

Seconding everyone being trained in bow and/or sling.
Let's see, we'll need:
2 goatherds
2 lumberjacks
2 miners
2 builders (unless they'd use the wood faster than the 'jacks can get it, then make the other a hunter)
2 hunters
2 babymakers/decorators (or something more useful, I dunno)
...er, and that leaves four I don't know what to do with.

Well then we're going to need some hunters and lumberjacks as well as a few builders. Set shit up, more huts and a ditch with spikes in it. Make more tools and shit, maybe send out a caravan or two to trade goat-milk, hides and any surplus goats for metal so you can make better tools. Give it a year or two, attract some extra settlers, train up a good militia and maybe even some dedicated fighters and then go fuck up some humans royally. Take a few prisoners and then you can properly bless this new settlement with a nice blood sacrifice.

Yes, do get busy... children are good.

The women who are pregnant don't have to sit around doing nothing, they can do certain jobs. Like butchering animals for meat, tanning (who makes clothes, leather armor, and works the tendons into strings), and woodworkers who make furniture, bows and arrows. Stealing or trading for chickens yields a steady source of eggs, meat, and feathers. The feathers can be used to make arrows and for beddings. Again, jobs that a pregnant woman can do.

The only reason to have 4 woodcutters is if we plan to build lots of wooden structures. At the moment there is nothing to build. I say only 1 woodcutter for now to supply the people making bows and furniture. Housing should be underground primarily.

Goblins are small of stature so melee is not a good idea. Its better to equip everyone with a bow. They can use bows and arrows for hunting, and they can use it for fighting. The bowyer could eventually move onto making repeater crossbows.

My suggestion:
Females (8 total):
* All should aim to be pregnant as often as possible. Pregnancy does not prevent doing the following jobs:
2 - Woodworkers, eventually specialize into furniture maker and bowyer.
2 - Butcher
1 - Tanner (prepares hides, prepares tendons into bowstrings)
1 - Leatherworker (makes leather clothes, armor, waterskins, etc)
2 - Herders (goats, chickens, etc)
Numbers subject to change based on exact quantities dealt with.

Males (8 total):
1 - lumberjack
2 - miners
5 - Hunters/Warriors (all armed with bows, hunt animals to train stealth and accuracy with bows. when not hunting train those skills)

Other jobs for the future (not enough population currently):
* Priests of Lurezcamor
* Basket weavers
* Poison makers
* Healers
* Etc

There is no point in building aboveground just yet, "mine" out underground housing... Although, might want to reinforce the tunnels with wooden or stone support arches.

The warriors should approach a farmer together, armed but not hostile looking. Don't AIM your weapons at them. Call out to them from afar that you came to trade, and bring some goats to trade for chickens. You WILL be stealing and enslaving them... LATER. First you need to chickens for making arrows.

Additional notes:
1. when you get to 50-ish individuals then any male/female can take on any role. The above is just for starting out since there are so few of you.
2. Children are a wonderful source of labor. They can work almost as well as adults.... freeing up more of the adult males (and eventually females too, but that is longer term) to become hunter/warriors.
3. Every single male, female, and child should own a bow and practice at least occasionally. To be used in, at the very least, defense of the town.
4. The town needs a name.
5. After about a year, the warriors can start raiding... but to begin with it should be further away from this colony to avoid drawing unwanted attention

>>
No. 306307 ID: f0e3ae

Are you sure this isn't just a funny perspective optical illusion thing? cause if not than damn those goblins are HUGE... might be better than humans at melee...
Although still using ranged attacks would be superior... it should be archers with a sword for backup. And a bowman can double as a hunter, a melee soldier cannot. So if we have some dedicated meleers, they can come later.

We should get:
4 woodcutters
4 miners
3 hunters/trappers
3 dedicated guards
1 goatherd
1 pregnant woman (rotating)

Once we've hit stone and have some surplus we can cut back a bit with the miners, and once we've got enough wood for our basic necessities we can cut back on the woodcutters.

First priority is our own survival, which means we need defenses. Dig a trench around the walls. Place punji sticks and other simple traps in the area around your camp. Have the guards doing 8-hour shifts, with at least two awake at any given time. Everybody in camp should learn to use a sling. Give the guards and hunters spears and bows, and have them train whenever they're not busy. We should be covered for food, but just in case we might want to keep some smoked meat for emergencies. Likewise, we should be good for water at the moment, though we should look into digging a well once we're all set up. We should look into building some more permanent shelters, at least something that won't be destroyed by the first storm.

Once you've got your base firmly established and you're confident in the abilities of your fighters, send a couple guys out to scout the area, see if you can't make some allies. You'll need more people and maybe some metal weapons before you can have a chance in hell of raiding one of the towns and surviving.

Right. Three hunters. Two lumberjacks. Three sentries, with eight hour shifts. Two miners, who should find metal as soon as possible. Two builders for now, expanding housing and getting the facilities for the different industries set up. One should become a smith once we get access to metal and all the currently discussed stuff is up and running. The rest craftsmen of various sorts. Someone making bows and arrows. A shaman or healer of some sort, studying the local herbs and mushrooms to heal and poison. A tanner and leatherworker, to make clothing, armor, packs, waterskins, and whatever else needs making. That's fifteen, which unless I'm mistaken is the current number of unallocated goblins.

Women get to work on that "goin' at it non-stop" thing, and to avoid reproduction from interfering with productivity overmuch, women focus on comparatively sedentary jobs like those last three.
